Behind Every
Great Man

The statement behind every great man there is a great
woman, is often misinterpreted. Some may view this as meaning that it’s the woman that makes the man. I interpret this
statement totally different. God created woman from the rib of man, to comfort and be a companion to man. Now in modern day
times woman are now educated, they are now able to support themselves. If the woman is a single parent she is in a better
position to support her family, then say during the 50’s and 60’s even actually the 70’s. The thing is black
men in particular as in their history reflects, usually have a harder time as far as landing the best jobs. Most profession
women are dead set on landing a high dollar man. He has to have an income to equal or exceed her income. He has to have a
certain car, live in a certain lifestyle etc. Even the low income sisters are
looking for a Big Bank Luke.
Ladies what about the plain Ole Joe? Ole Joe may be a
blue collar brother; he works for the city as garbage collector, a meter reader, truck driver, and the list goes on. The first
thing you look at when you see Ole Joe, you look at his shoes and work your way up turning up your nose at the same time.
Ole Joe may be as fine as the sculpture of David and he’s probably as smart as Big Bank Luke or smarter. But, Ole Joe
maybe didn’t have the chance that Big Bank Luke had. So, now let’s just take a stroll down reality lane. You are
a bright woman, with a lot on the ball. A man can move mountain if he has a woman behind him to say I believe in you. Followed
by, you can achieve anything you want to achieve. Adding, you are my man and I love you, and I’m proud of you just as
you are.
Ole Joe in most cases has the abilities to be one the
most successful brothers in the world. All he needs is a chance and the support of his woman. When a woman makes a man feel
like man, it motivates him to do more in effects to show her that he is all the man she needs. A woman can take a Plain Ole
Joe and make him turn into a Big Bank Luke. Comfort him, support him, and love him that’s what God created woman for.
It doesn’t take a Miss Corporate America to do this; it only takes being a woman. If you be a woman and not act like
a man, then you can be that great woman. Meaning, you respect your man. If you disagree with him you do in private, never
disrespect your man in public nor in front of his children. Never make him feel like he’s nothing. If the man feels
good he acts well. He usually does well in all ways…
